KompoGTe® - LFT
KompoGTe® - LFT
KompoGTe® is a reinforced composite material that artificially mixes or combines different components for maximized properties or new characteristics.
KompoGTe® consists of Long Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic (LFT) which are long fiber-reinforced composite materials and Uni-Directional Tape (UD Tape) which are continuous fiber-reinforced composite materials.
LFT and UD Tape have superior properties in strength, corrosion resistance, fatigue life, wear resistance, impact resistance, and lightweight compared to conventional unreinforced and short fiber-reinforced materials.
Application
Advantages
-
Mechanical Properties
KompoGTe® LFT, through optimized composition and impregnation technology, manufactures continuous glass, carbon fibers in polypropylene and polyamide materials which demonstrates excellent mechanical properties such as rigidity, strength, and impact resistance.
The strength of the reinforced grade by reinforce fibers is exceptional, and various grades with various fiber reinforcements are available. -
Residual Length Properties
KompoGTe® LFT is produced by pultrusion with a pellet length of 10mm.
The residual fiber length inside the product after injection process is about 10 times longer relative to SGF reinforced materials, enabling the realization of superior properties. -
High Appearance Quality
KompoGTe® LFT minimizes fiber breakage and dust through high compounding performance, resulting in products with minimal variation in fiber length and weight, ensuring excellent product properties and appearance quality.
